Jennifer Cook

  • Before choosing a career in real estate, I was a K-12 Health Education teacher and
small business owner (restaurant) with my husband, Ray. Although very different, each
job put me on the path of helping people. Whether it was honing my listening and
teaching skills with students, or creating informational and marketing materials that
were helpful to my husband and our business, each demanded my full attention and
high energy to achieve success and be beneficial to the end user. I can genuinely
say that I enjoyed each job and appreciated the lessons I learned during those days.
However, I started exploring other work options that offered more time with my
    young family.

Enter Real Estate. Becoming a Realtor has, hands down, been the best job decision I’ve
ever made. I like to call it a “good fit for me” because it allows the schedule control
that I had been searching for, it’s an all-encompassing position where I can put my skills
set into action, and there’s always opportunity to learn something new!
I’m very dedicated to my job as a Realtor, so when I have to spend time away from
my family, it’s because I’m helping someone else’s – and that’s very, very rewarding.
Besides my Realtor duties to all clients, I try to jump in and be extra helpful to our
Minot Air Force Base active duty members and their families as they arrive and depart.
It’s always been important to me that the people I care FOR, are well taken care OF.

When I’m not meeting new clients or creating “Elite on the Street” videos, I like
spending time in the kitchen and at the family table – usually devouring a dish from my
husband’s Italian family upbringing. I also love the outdoors and look forward to warm
walks along County Road 15, a boat ride around Detroit Lake and golfing as a family
over at Vardon Golf Club. All other days of the year I’m partial to a roaring fireplace,
movies and popcorn on the sofa with Ray and the girls, petting our two barn cats and
reading books with actual paper pages.

We have so many things to be grateful for in North Dakota and I’m very proud to be a
Realtor here. I feel honored to know that my actions directly contribute to the quality of
life for our friends and neighbors in this great State, and that drives me to do my best -
    every day.
